I’m speechless. I’ve used torrentspy for years and although I hated their adultfriendfinder ads along with many other annoying pop-ups, I found they had the best search algorithm.

Unlike a lot of popular torrent sites, Torrentspy was merely an index and search engine of torrents and did not host their own. They searched the databases of the other torrent sites and brought you the most relevant results, and frankly their results were much more accurate than searching on the actual sites. Torrentspy closed their doors to American internet users in November of 2007, however, this didn’t phase me at all.

Thinking about it now, I used it most of the time when searching for the most recent movie rips. Specifically those from aXXo, who is arguably the most popular dvd ripper on bittorrent. If you’ve watched one of his nicely-sized 700meg movies, you’d agree his rips are second to none.

So for now I guess I will move on to the number two index site, isoHunt. Torrentspy, you will be missed.
